The NTT INDYCAR Series saw a thrilling conclusion to the Farm to Finish 275 Race No. 2 at Iowa Speedway, where Alex Palou took advantage of late caution to retake the lead and secure his eighth victory of the season.

Initially leading from pole position, Palou lost the lead to Josef Newgarden with 35 laps remaining after the latter made up a five-second gap in just 15 laps. However, Newgarden pitted from the lead with 28 laps to go and was caught out by a caution that followed soon after, trapping him a lap down.

Palou's Late Rally

The key moment came when Palou regained the lead following a restart with 11 laps to go. He held onto this position, driving to victory in a race marked by its unpredictable twists and turns.

"Honestly, it's tough," said Palou. "It's tough... You have different challenges every weekend, and that's why I love racing in INDYCAR."

Dixon's Runner-Up Finish

Scott Dixon brought his No. 9 CGR Honda home to a runner-up finish, while Marcus Armstrong rounded out the podium in his Meyer Shank Racing Honda.

"It was definitely an interesting weekend for us," said Dixon. "We were able to manage the stints quite well and extend the windows when we needed to."

Top Ten Finishers

The top ten finishers included Christian Lundgaard, Felix Rosenqvist, Christian Rasmussen, Robert Shwartzman, Newgarden, Palou's teammate David Malukas, Saturday's winner Pato O'Ward, and Josef Newgarden.

Palou now leads the NTT INDYCAR SERIES standings with a 129-point advantage over Pato O'Ward. The series returns to action next Sunday at noon ET on the streets of Toronto.
