The new "Batman" with Robert Pattinson has a finished script

What do we know about the sequel?

• 🖊 The script is complete - confirmed by Matt Reeves himself
• 🎬 The lead role will once again be played by Robert Pattinson.
• 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The return of familiar characters has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected that Penguin, played by Colin Farrell, will get more screen time
• 📅 Premiere is set for October 1, 2027
• ⏳ Originally scheduled for release in 2025, but was postponed twice - first due to a writers' strike, then due to internal production reasons

Atmosphere and style

As with the first film, the sequel will retain the noir atmosphere, somber palette and focus on the detective component.

It is also expected to develop the story arc of a young Batman delving into the darker side of Gotham and his own identity.
